Helicopter & Glacier Snowmobile Tour

An Alaskan activity that combines adventure with authentic Alaska utility.

Drive your own snow machine on real snow while surrounded by iconic Alaska backdrops!

Start this adventure with a 30-minute helicopter flight, soaring over the Chugach Mountain Range and its many glaciers as we make our way to a giant snow field of the Knik Glacier. Unlike most glaciated areas, the Chugach Mountains offer abundant wildlife like moose, Dall Sheep and Black Bears. After landing and a safety briefing, you will head out on snowmobiles (we call them snow machines up here) accompanied by our guides to explore the glacier. Each rider will have their own machine, unless you’d prefer to ride tandem with one of your travel companions. You will have approximately one hour on the glacier; plenty of time to explore and ride up to the hillcrest for a spectacular view of the Chugach Mountain Range. This tour is not suitable for children under 10 years old and riders under 16 will have to be teamed up with an adult. We will supply all snow machine gear including helmet, snowsuit, and boots; we recommend you bring a light hat, gloves and sunglasses. After the tour, the helicopter takes you back to the lodge base and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses. What an adventure?!

Make this the ultimate adventure with an additional glacier landing add-on. In route back to the lodge, you’ll make an additional glacier landing for 30-minutes to explore the azure blue melt pools and bizarre ice formations with your pilot guide.
